NLS Partners with URA to Promote Housing Stability

NLS is partnering with the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh through the Housing Opportunity Fund’s new Legal Assistance Program to provide eviction prevention, foreclosure prevention and tangled title legal services. Untangling Tangled Titles

“Tangled title is an apt name for the complicated process of helping people stay in their homes permanently and legally. Successfully untangling these cases requires specialized expertise and a lot of patience,” said NLS staff attorney Kris Bergstrom. Spearheading tangled title cases at NLS are attorneys Peter LewisDan Haller, and Kris Bergstrom, along with Cindy Gilkey and Sarah Anderson. Tangled title help is available in Allegheny, Beaver, Butler and Lawrence counties with priority programs available for City of Pittsburgh and City of New Castle residents. To learn more about tangled titles, click HERE.
